How Do I Start My Spiritual Journey in 2021

The first step is to become interested in your own soul.
This is where the real journey begins. To do this, you must first free yourself from materialistic thoughts and feelings by cleaning your mind and heart.

The most important thing you can do is to change how you view the world around you. Stop thinking and feeling, I have nothing, I am nothing, I am too bad, I am not beautiful enough, I will never be good enough or successful enough….etc.

Start to think that you are here for a purpose and that purpose is to become more enlightened.
You have been put on the earth for a reason; so think about what that reason may be. You were put here to contribute something; that is why you were born into this world of chaos and confusion.

Try to understand that everything around us has a purpose and has been created for our benefit in some way or another; even if it is just for our entertainment or enjoyment or it makes us cry or laugh because it makes us feel better about ourselves when we see someone worse off than us (although sometimes we don’t need anything but a good laugh).

Connect to Nature & Love Yourself

You must also realize the importance of getting out into nature every day (whether it be a walk in the park or a ride in the car). Nature is where we came from and it is where we will return to.

It is part of our soul, it is the universe and the basic structure of life on this planet. It gives us life and without it, we would not be here right now living this experience. If you do not feel comfortable in nature, start with something small like a plant or flower that you can take care of every day, even if it’s just for 30 minutes or so each day.

It will help you to get into the habit of being around nature and start to learn how to love again.

You must also start to love yourself again; I know that sounds hard but this is important because if you don’t love yourself, then you will never be able to accept anything positive into your life from anyone else either.
You have been hurt by someone so you must forgive that person because they did not know what they were doing at the time.

You must take responsibility for your actions and realize where your wrongdoings may have contributed to what happened. You must also learn from those mistakes so they won’t happen again in the future. The most important thing I have found is to forgive myself for all of my wrongdoings and then forgive everyone else who has ever hurt me.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT NO ONE CAN HURT YOU, BECAUSE IT IS NOT IN THEIR POWER TO DO SO!!!!!!!!!

An altar is a place of reflection, meditation and prayer. This sacred space is a place where you will connect to the spiritual world and your Spirit Guide.

Once you have built your Ancestor Altar you can give offerings in the form of burning Ancestor Money.   

Learn to Meditate & clear your mind

Most people have a hard time doing this because they are so busy thinking about the past or the future or why something happened.

This is a way that we can clear our mind of unnecessary thoughts and feelings that have been holding us back from living.

There are many different ways to meditate, this is just one that works for me but there are many different techniques out there so you should find one that fits your personality and works well with you.

Begin by closing your eyes and start to visualize yourself in a place surrounded by nature; surrounded by trees, flowers and animals (if you like).

Visualize yourself walking around the garden with your eyes closed while you focus on the sound of the birds chirping, or crickets or water running in a stream.

Visualize yourself breathing in, manifesting-love into your heart chakra as you exhale negativity into the universe to be returned to you more positively.

Continue this process for as long as you need to and then open your eyes and release the image into the universe again.

Get Rid Of All Negative Feelings

Getting rid of all of the negative feelings that you have been holding onto the inside of yourself. There are many ways to do this; one way is through your dreams.

When you fall asleep at night, visualize your heart chakra surrounded by light and love (or any positive colour that you like).

Then imagine that light is coming out of your heart chakra and going into your room, encompassing everything inside with love and healing energy.

If there are some things that you feel need more healing energy than others, put extra effort into those specific areas until they feel complete.

You can do this every night until they feel clear and healed enough for you or if it feels good, continue doing it every night until you fall asleep or during the day whenever it feels right.
Another way to clear negative feelings/energy is through meditation or by going into nature on a regular basis (this does not mean going on a hike or something like that but just sitting outside in nature for a few minutes).

This can help to clear many of your negative energy, especially when you feel like you need to cry or yell or whatever, it is a good way to get rid of all of that anger and frustration.

This might sound easy but it’s not always easy to do. You must realize that these feelings only hurt the person who holds them. These emotions will eventually turn against you in some way or another; SO LET THEM GO!

The most important thing is not what other people do or say. The most important thing is what we do with those things and how we react.

We have the choice either to let them affect us negatively or positively (sometimes both at the same time).

Start doing positive things for yourself

Spend time by yourself every day doing something that relaxes you, meditating, interfacing with your Ancestor Altar going into nature, taking a bath, reading a good book etc.

Do something every day that makes you feel good about yourself and gives you a sense of accomplishment, whether it be cleaning your house, writing a poem or taking a yoga class.

This will help to build up your confidence and self-esteem which are very important in attracting the right kind of people and energy into your life.

Start developing your own goals and dreams

Start developing your own goals and dreams

This may sound difficult but once you start to look at things in this way, you will see that there are many things that you can do on a daily basis to help achieve these things.

We all have the same 24 hours in a day so why not make use of them? Start by writing down all the things that are important to you and then write down all the steps that it would take for you to fulfil those goals.

Once you have done this, put it somewhere where you can see it every day so that way every time you look at those goals, its like a reminder for what you want out of life. And also when people start asking what do YOU want out of life.
