What does Kundalini Reiki Mean?

The name “Kundalini Reiki” comes from the Hindu tradition. Kundalini is a Sanskrit word that means “coiled energy” or “serpent power.”

In the Hindu tradition, Kundalini is associated with the base of the spine and with awakening spiritual awareness. Reiki practitioners work with Kundalini energy to bring about a state of bliss and spiritual awakening.

How does Kundalini Reiki differ from traditional Usui Reiki?

Kundalini Reiki is similar to Usui Reiki in that it is an energy healing modality and both are effective in the treatment of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual issues. However, Kundalini Reiki differs from traditional Usui Reiki in that it uses different hand positions and incorporates methods developed by other energy healing modalities such as Tibetan Reiki, ThetaHealing®, and Radionics.

Kundalini Reiki is also different from traditional Usui Reiki in the way it is attuned. When you receive an attunement in traditional Usui Reiki, the person attuning you places their hands on your head and chakras and then recites a mantra as they channel healing energy through you.

How does Kundalini Reiki differ from Tibetan Reiki?

Kundalini Reiki practitioners attune themselves to the energies of Mount Meru, which is a mountain in the Himalayas that forms a cross with Mount Kailash and Mount Sumeru.

The energies of these three mountains are said to be the most powerful energies on earth. The energies of Mount Meru are very similar to those of Mount Everest.
